Peyton Ali, getting big!

My little girl lives such a hard life! She sleeps mostly all day, waking up to eat and have her bum changed. She is getting big though! She loves her bath! Even when she's hungry, she'll sit in the bath for 10- 15 minutes, as long as it's warm enough. She doesn't like getting out though, but it's hard to find a baby that does. She look more like her daddy every day. I can't believe it's been 7 weeks already! We're so glad to have her. She has been such a fun addition to our family. Chris loves her to death. He loves to bounce her in her bouncer. And carry her around to show her the house.

A couple weeks ago, Ben was sitting on a bench in the mall waiting for me to come out of a store and a gal stopped and was talking to him. Told him how cute his little girl was. So as I walk out of the store, he's chatting with this girl. As I approched, she asked for a phone number, Ben gave her mine! When she realized I was there she gave me her business card. She was a talent agent with the company that founded the two kids that were Adam Sandlers niece and nephew in 'Bedtime stories'. She said Peyton would be a great addition to their company and that they'd be calling to set something up with us. I got a call a week or so ago. I haven't called back yet, and don't know if I will, but it is reassuring to know that other people think our little girl is as cute as we think she is!

Wyoming Trip!

Our trip began Saturday May 16th. Ben, Peyton, and I headed up to Bret and Heidi's house in Powell as soon as Ben could get off work. We went up through Yellowstone, which had only been open for a few weeks. There were bison and elk everywhere. More wildlife out and about then I've ever seen through Yellowstone. Ben even saw a bear on the way back home. We went up to Wyoming for Erik's graduation. We had a b-b-q at Heidi's grandma's in Lovell for K.C. and Erik Saturday night. A lot of the Bassett family came and it was so nice to see everyone and catch up. Our immediate Bassett family got together Monday before the graduation and took pictures. Here is Tara, Bart, Bret, Tia, and I(and Zack).
Here's the group of us together. Wyatt, Ben(Tia's), Michelle, Bart, Tia, Peyton, Jacob, Sonja, Tara, Ben, Zack, Britnee, KaDee, Bret, Erik, me, Heidi, and Rusty. Missing are Matt, Jaycee, Cody, and Chris.

Then we got a picture of the daughters. Michelle, me, Tara, Tia, and Heidi.

And then you have our little family(-Chris). Peyton is only 7 weeks, but she already has so much personality! Check out that tounge.

We are so blessed to have a family as wonderful as we have. We are all so supportive of each other. I'm grateful for them all, and for all they do for me. I am glad we are all able to get together and enjoy each others company.

To My Mom's on Mother's DayAs I woke this morning
I thought to myself
Of all I’ve been given
Of all my great wealth

I have a mother
Who’s been my best friend
A mother-in-law
Who’s ear I can bend
I am very grateful
For all they’ve taught me
The example they are
Of the mom I can be

So I’ll stay close to them,
Learn all that I can
For I love you both dearly
Sonja and Ann!

As I raise my own kids, I am indeed grateful for all that I have been taught by these two great lady's. I love my mom dearly and have been learning from her all my life. She is a great example to me and I don't know one person who know's her, that doesn't love her. I've only had Ann for 2 1/2 years, but she has taught me so much. I love her for the man she raised that I love. I'm grateful that they both love the gospel and are example for me in that way as well. Have a great Mother Day!

Blessing Day!

Peyton Ali Roseborough was blessed May 3rd, 2009 in the Sutherland 2nd Ward. She wore the beautiful blessing dress her 'Grannie Annie' gave her. She had many dear loved ones there to bless her, though some weren't able to make it. It was a great day! Ann & Dayn, Ben's parents, came down as well as Kyle, Kim, Kelby, Kenny, Kristie, Jocelynn, Keirstley, Hailie, Derek, and Michelle. Rusty & Sonja also came down, joined by Tara and Jaycee. Bart & Michelle came over from Oak City as well. And Rex & Tami, Josh, Kiley, and Hayden came down from Orem to be here for the beautiful day. The weather was gorgeous.

This was the first time we've been able to get a picture of all of us together since Peyton was born. It was nice to have everyone here with us. It's fun to have everyone here and it's hard to let them go home.

We are so blessed! That we have family to support us and join us in these events. I'm grateful for the gospel in my life. I'd be lost without it. I'm grateful for Ben, Chris and Peyton. The joys they are in my life. I love my family and my extended family and all they do for us. I'm thankful for all my family and friends and for the oppertunity I have to keep in touch with all of you through my blog and your blogs. I count my blessings daily and I'm happy to be the mother of two beautiful children.
