Peyton is getting smarter and smarter every day. We were in the kitchen on Tuesday, the 29th, getting some breakfast and she wanted some of the strawberries that Grannie Annie and Grandpa Dayn brought from California. So she got my meat loaf pan out of my cupboard and used it as a stepping stool! Such craftyness:) Wednesday, the 30th, was P/T confrence for Chris, us, and his teacher. He got good grades and brought most of them up from last quarter. He's up on his test scores as well. He's quite a smart kid. His pitfall is that he enjoys talking too much. So he has set a goal to work on that. He told me just before we left for the confrence that he had snuck his DSi to school and his teacher had taken it from him. Well, it's a very strict rule in our house that his DSi doesn't go to school so he knew he was in trouble for it. So when we got home, we told him he was grounded from it until further notice. Which was a bummer because we had bought him a new DSi game to give him if he had improved his grades. Needless to say, he was very interested in ANYTHING he could do to earn the DSi back. So Ben told him if he'd weed the entire garden, he could get it back. So he got to work. On Thursday, the 31st, Bentley was still asleep so Peyton and I got up and headed outside. We took the weeds Chris had pulled the day before and hauled them over to our dump pile. Then we fed the dogs, then we weeded our flower garden. After an hour and a half, Ben finally got home from work. Peyton loved the time outside. When we came in, Peyton helped me take out the garbage. She loves to get the next bag ready to go in the trash can, as you can tell:) (You can also see her make shift stool there too!) Chris had only gotten half way done with the garden before he had to go to bed the night before. So as soon as he got home finished his homework, he headed back out to finish. He piled all the dry weeds in a pile and we burned them. TGIF! April 1! It was a good day:) It didn't start out that way. Peyton woke up at 4:00am with a bad dream. When Ben left at 5:00am she was still awake so layed down to bed with me. By 5:30am, Bentley woke up to eat so I put Peyton in her bed, still awake. I fed him and by 6:00am, all 3 of us were back in bed asleep. I woke up at 6:55am to get Chris to school. So I just stayed up and got ready. By 8:30am, Peyton was us and we went out to do the dogs again. Then Bentley woke up and we brought him outside with us. It was so beautiful! No wind and pretty, sunny, and warm. When Ben got home from work, we washed his car, which was pretty bad. Then washed the dogs, first time since last fall. After Chris got home from school, we washed the Suburban! Love warm weather and helpful kids:)

So did he get his DSi back? Disciplining a child is so vital but so hard. They are much better children - but it rips this Grandma's heart out - cause I know what it means to him. You are good parents. Thanks for loving my grandkids.
