March 14th!

The baby gate returned today! Peyton got into the kitchen while "throwing something away for us" and spilt milk all over the floor this morning so up the gate went and upstairs she stayed. She didn't much care for it! But milk is expensive these days and I need my house in one piece and can't watch her 24/7, as hard as I try. Here are my wonderful kids helping me with dinner! I made chicken patty sandwiches and mac-n-cheese, but Chris said he wanted something "healthy" with his dinner, so he peeled 2 oranges:) Funny kid!
Here is Peyton helping me deep fry the patties! Her face is priceless. She was just glad to get a break from being upstairs!
Our neighbor (meaning "lives within a couple miles of us" out here) Howard is brothers with the man I bought my house from. And he has been so nice as too help us up-keep our farm land. He helps burn our ditches, water our feild, harvest our feild....okay pretty much runs our acrage! He came and burned the ditches for us last night, and they needed it so much! We have good people around us:) Peyton sure enjoyed watching him us his "wand" from the window!

March 13th!

We had to go to Salt Lake and get Chris today. On our way back home, we stopped for a few minutes and met my mom, who was on her way home from Vegas and the MWC tournaments. I would have loved to get pictures of that, but ran out of the house so quick to be on time that I forgot my camera. After we got home from picking Chris up, we needed some energy spent. Peyton loves to dance! So we turned some music on on the computer and she and I danced around the living room! I'm so glad she shares in my passion, even if she's only 2 and doesn't really understand yet.
Bentley loves watching Peyton. He watches her as she moves around the front room. She is very entertaining to him.....as well as the rest of us;)

March 12th!

It looks like we might be getting the baby gates back out! My dear Peyton is so quick into mischief these days and I try, but can't keep an eye on her ALL the time. Ben and I got groceries Friday and I got myself a little treat. I love Symphony's! Well, apparently my daughter likes them too because she came bringing me the candy bar from the counter in the kitchen. Crazy enough, if you notice, not one rip in the wrapping! My 2 year old opened this whole candy bar patiently enough to not tear it at all.
Then when we were about to put her in the shower and put her to bed, this is what we'd found! Not very easy to see, but there is a whole container of TOOTHPICKS all over the floor! You can see that she was very upset about getting in trouble.....she's smiling;)

March 11th!

We ran to Salt Lake to take Chris to spend the weekend with his dad. Made it home by about 6:30 pm which is really good timing for us. My other kids were sure glad to be out of the car to stretch out and relax for a little while before they had to go to bed!

March 10th!

It's good to know that sometimes when you buy your kids presents, they don't get played for just a few days, then the newness wears off, and they forget about them. Here is Peyton sitting in the chair we bought her for her 1st birthday playing the piano/music player we got her for Christmas!

March 9th!

Bentley fell asleep in the swing like this and I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to snap a picture. Too cute:)
The first time we've used the back pack with Bentley. He liked being in it, but the wind was blowing a bit and he didn't like that. He spit up down my shirt 3 times before I decided it was enough and went inside. And you can see Peyton swinging in the back ground! She loves those swings!
And here's another picture of Chris 'jumping' his skate board. I know I have one just like it a few days ago, but he asked me if I would take a picture of it. And it wasn't quite warm enough for his outfit, but he's so excited to start wearing his shorts again that he told me "It's blazing hot outside, mom."

March 8th!

I've been trying to do crafts with stuff I have at home to keep myself busy. I did pretty well until I needed buttons so I ran to town and the dollar store bargains were too good to pass up. The green flower in the middle cost me $2! The other 4 flowers I home made from an old shirt! I felt so recyle-ly and they turned out pretty cute, I think.

Here is my first step to making 'paper bag purse albums'. I saw them on the internet and thought I'd try them out. I'm not the craftiest person, but I try. I'll post another picture when I get them done!
