Bad Weekend!

My husband has a very rough weekend. He had a root canal done on one of his teeth a few months back. Well, some of the root must have been missed because he got an abcessed this past Thursday(3.4.10). The dentist office wasn't open on Friday so we thought we'd be okay to wait through the weekend. Well, come Sunday morning, Ben looked like a chipmunk(picture 1, 11:30 am 3.7). So we ran to the ER to get him started on some antibiotics and get him some pain medicine. He felt aweful. He looked even worse by that evening(picture 2, 7:45 pm 3.7).

He is doing much better tonight. He still hurts and can't quite ease the pain, but it's not near as bad as last night. He goes to the dentist tomorrow and we'll see what happens from there.

Hair Cut!

I haven't had a hair cut, except trims, in 4 years. Much to my husbands dismay, I thought it was time for a change. I had challenged my neices to see who could go the longest without cutting their hair, and who's got the longest. The two older ones didn't make it long, but Britnee, 10, made it until about 2 or 3 weeks ago. Well, once she cut her's, I lost my incentive to keep mine long. So I gave in and cut my hair yesterday!

I love it! It'll definatly take some getting used to, but that's the funnest part about it. It is an a-line and is so much fun. The pictures isn't the best, but for being taken by my 6 year old, I thought he did pretty good.

My little girl is getting so much fun these days. She's at the age that sounds are become words, everything is a prop to help her stand up, and her facials are worth a thousand words! And my little man is such a photogenic kid. He loves to have his picture taken and he has no idea what "candid" means. This particular picture, he has a mouth full of his FAVORITE food, chicken strips:)

And last bit of news, but certainly not least, my little girl has her first tooth! It broke through on 1.19.10, but you could only feel it. So here is a picture where you can kinda see it, if you look really hard! 9 1/2 months isn't bad.

Being a mom is the best job in the world. I love spending time with my family and playing with my kids. The unconditional love they give is worth all the labor, melt downs, spit up, sick in the middle of the night, and every thing else that comes with motherhood!

Family!

It is so fun when you have family come visit. Bart and Michelle live in St. George and had a weekend off so I envited them to come visit us(1.23-1.26). It was a mellow weekend, not too much to do, but it was sure fun to have someone there to visit with. Peyton and Brooklyn don't quite know what to do with each other yet, but I am sure they are going to make fast friends once they get a little older.

Ben never got the chance to feed Peyton with a bottle because she's never used a bottle. So while Brooklyn was here, she needed to be fed so Ben got his chance. If any of you know my husband, you know he doesn't like pictures, let alone smiling for pictures, but this was pretty dang close. I was alot of fun to spend time with Bart and Michelle. It has been harder for us to live this far from family and not have as much contact with them as we'd like so we have to cherish time when we do get to get together.

Life is crazy busy and I love it. Ben is working like crazy and he enjoys being busier. He likes his job and keeping busy.

Peyton is getting bigger every day. She has her first tooth(9.19.10). It didn't effect her too much so thank heavens. She loves playing with her daddy and her tounge is always out of her mouth these days. Chris is the smartest kid ever! He does so well with his homework and his reading. He has a hard time staying on task, but when he does pay attention, he amazes me with how bright he is. It's so much fun to watch him grow up and being such a good big brother. He just got glasses in December. He only needs them for reading, homework, and using the computer, but they make him look so smart.

I am just enjoying being a stay at home mom. I'm here to get Chris on and off the bus help him with his homework, and for anything else he needs. I love watching Peyton catch onto thinks a understanding how different stuff works. Helping her to learn all the thinks that I can. I love life and better get to it:)

Chirstmas 2009!

As a family tradition, we always got pajamas and we were allowed to open them on Christmas Eve! Well, we're passing the tradition on to our kids. Peyton did help rip the paper a little, but Chris did most the work. But she sure liked what was inside. Chris loves spongebob so of course, he was thrilled as well.
We spent Christmas day at home. Ben worked until 11:00 that morning so the only thing the kids had to play with is what Santa brought them. Then, when Ben got home from work, we started opening. It was so much fun watching the kids open their presents. Peyton didn't quite understand, but she had fun with the paper that came off the presents. Only later did she realize the stuff inside was fun too. Chris couldn't unwrap fast enough. The excitement of Christmas is definatly well spent on the youth. I love my kids and couldn't have asked for a better Christmas then to spend it with my own little family.

Later that afternoon, after the ham and potatoes for lunch, Chris, Peyton, and I hopped in the car and headed to Bear Lake. Chris was to be at his dad's the next day and wanted to spend some time with his cousins before he went. After Chris went to his dad's, I spent a few days at my mom's. Then we drove to Powell to spend some time with Bret and Heidi. Zack was getting his tonsils out and not knowing how he'd handle it, we were going for reinforcement. Well, needless to say, he handled it like a pro! As you can tell from the picture, he doesn't even seem phased by it. He loved Peyton to death so the picture was taken with KaDee in the middle so Zack didn't love her to hard;)

It was such a fun vacation and it was so good to see the family I go to see. But it was so nice too to come home and see my husband and relax and just be home.

Chirstmas Program!

My little man was in this 1st grade Christmas Program yesterday. He was adorable. He's a pretty good dancer, if I do say so myself!And if you listen closely at the end of the second video, you will here my little girl singing along to the music!
