Loving the holiday!
Chris loves gingerbread! He wanted me to make it so he could use the cookie cutters, but I'm still working on the cooking part of my motherly duties. So I bought a little gingerbread house and told him we could put it together and then he could eat it. He was excited about that. He really liked using the icing. The finished product! Peyton didn't do much to help except shake the table while we were trying to ice the roof. But what would the holidays be like with out kids.......not to much fun.
Chris said this was his pop tart. He said it was very good and that he wanted to share some with Peyton. It was a little to hard for Peyton, but Chris sure enjoyed it.
Christmas is so much fun when you have a wonderful family to enjoy it with. I am so excited to see my two beautiful kids wake up Christmas morning and share with them the excitement that radiates out of them at this time of year. I love my family and the only thing that could make this holiday season brighter.....would be to share it with more family!

Wedding!
Ben's little sister, Michelle, got married at the end of November. We were lucky enough to find some one to work for Ben so we were able to go. I wasn't able to get many pictures due to freezing weather and a professional photographer. But here is what I was able to take. Here is Derek, Hailey, Peyton, Jacqulyn, Kyle, Chris, Dayn, and beautiful bride, Michelle. I took the oppertunity to use the beautiful decorations to get a few pictures of my cute kids. Peyton pretty much has to be where I put her, but Chris doesn't so I didn't get as many of him.
He was good for a few, but as you can tell, would rather look at uncle Kyle's camera, not mine. But they still turned out pretty good.

Bachelorette/Bridal Shower!
Chris, Peyton and I got the chance to go to Ben's home town to his sister's bridal shower this past weekend(11.5.09). It was so great to be able to go up and visit, but unfortunatly, Ben wasn't able to go with us. We drove up Friday(11.5), shower was Saturday(11.6), and we drove home Sunday(11.7). While we were there, Peyton loved all the attention for all the aunts, uncles, and grandparents. Here she is with uncle Kyle! The Bachelorette/Bridal Shower turned out great! We played the sock game(if throwing a bridal shower, way fun, you should look it up) and had a blast. It was way funny. She got alot of beautiful gifts and a good laugh. Here is Hailie, Kristie, and I in our "TEAM BRIDE" shirts and Michelle with her crown!

HALLOWEEN 2009
I went to Bear Lake to visit my parents and sister for a day just before Halloween(10.29.09-10.30.09). I just so happen to be the night of Paris Elementary's Halloween carnival. So I dressed Peyton up and we went! Here she is with Aunt Tara! We also go to see Great Grandpa Jr while we were up there. He is 91 yrs old and she is 7 months old. We have both ends of the specturm. And you never know what's going to happen so you never pass up a photo op.
And Halloween day came and we were invited over to our neighbor, Jamie's, for dinner before trunk-or-treating. Peyton and Bristee are 4 months apart and are good friends, as good of friends as you can be at this age. Peyton's a pink leopard and Bristee's a penguin.
Our pink Peyton leopard showing her claws for the camera. Of course, she didn't know she was doing it, but it turned out adorable.
And here is our personal DOTS advertisement. She doesn't know she's doing what she's doing for the camera, but it just tends to work out great. She had a blast playing in the candy. I can't believe the mile stone of her first Halloween has come and gone already. Time flies when you're having fun, I guess.

Ink pad!
Thank heavens for baby wipes! I was doing some scrapbooking last night after my beautiful daughter when to bed because you know how 6 month olders can be with getting into stuff. Well, I put everything together when I was finished. And this morning, I thought to myself, "There's no way she could get my Stampin Up ink pads open so there's no reason she can't play on the floor." Well, like all mothers know, quiet is never a good sign so I checked on her, and this is what I found......
She found a little tiny(1"X1") ink pad that I've never used that came with a little stamp set I bought. I had completely forgotten that it was there. Well, she found it.
So into the tub she goes. Little did I put together, water makes the ink go further So she proceeded to smear the now wet again ink all over me, her, and the tub. So I called the first person I could think of that might know how to get it off, my sister, Tara. Who failed to answer her phone when I really needed her. So I called a friend of mine that I sometimes scrapbook with. We decided to try wipies. Thank havens for this particular invention. Then are great for almost everything. It worked. So I drained the tub and wiped Peyton down with wipies. And I ever seen a ring-around-the-tub like this.

Halloween 2009!
Halloween is coming early this year at our house. Chris will be at his dad's house this year for Halloween so we are trying to get everything in that we do for Halloween in before he leaves. Namely pumpkin carving! We have a large spot set out in our yard that the previous owners used for a beautiful garden....well, I don't have a green thumb and my husband doesn't like vegitables so what else do you grow in a garden....PUMPKINS! So that's what we did. And we ended up with probably 20 pumpkins. Awesome because they are fun to carve, and quite spendy if you have to buy them to carve.
Peyton got to sit by and watch as we all dived in up to our elbows in pumpkin guts! What fun. We have a book with pattern ideas and tools we use to carve with.
Ben chose the 'AI face'. He says he messed up, but I can't see where.
I chose the spiders web and spider! I thought it turned out quite well!
And Chris chose the pirates cross bones. He did the carving all by himself! He felt bad that the teeth didn't turn out, but Ben helped him feel better by explain that pirates don't go to dentist so there teeth are rotten and probably look like that anyways.
We had a blast. It is a mess past time, but the memories that are made are priceless. And it's always fun to look back at how the kids grow. Last year, we got pumpins, but Chris couldn't really help, now he's doing it all by himself. Time flies when your having fun.

Peyton's 6 months old!
I can't believe my little girl is already 6 months old. It doesn't seem possible. But oh, what a great 6 months it has been! She is the most wonderful baby and I couldn't have ask for a better behaved one. She is beautiful, when she smiles, or puckers to cry, or even scowels, she is amazingly gorgeous. Here a just a few picture of the fun she's brought to our lives. She loves oreo's! And when she's tired of eating it, she loves to smear it all over my blinds.
I've started walking with my next door neighbor who has a daughter that is 4 months younger then Peyton. We take our strollers and walk-n-talk. Peyton gets all bundled up to go and loves it!
She get's to go to the BYU games with us because 1st; I am her meals, 2nd; she's too young to need a ticket; and 3rd, she loves the outside. The noise doesn't seem to bother her at all. She's gong to be a great Cougar fan!
She plays and plays and plays til she litterally can't play anymore. She has this little mat that has toys going over the top of it. She had been playing all morning, then all the sudden was quiet. And this is what I found.....10 minutes before she was due to eat. She is so precious.
Peyton makes a great pumpkin comparison. We wanted to be able to compare our pumkin to to show how big it had gotten. What better then Miss Pretty Princess Pey Pey! Such fun.

I am so very blessed! I have an amazing husband and 2 wonderful children. I have the gospel in my life to guide me and show me the way in life and as a parent. I have a family that is behind me in everything I do and loves me unconditionally. I live in a wonderful community. I don't know that I could ask for more.

BYU Game!
BYU's first game was Saturday(9.19.09). We got offered a trade for one game of our season tickets for a few Jazz game tickets. Well, we were alright with missing a game for the chance to get to go to a Jazz game so the guy picked the first game so he could come and go before the had to start harvesting crops. Well, Friday, my mom called me and offered me her ticket to go with my dad because she was attending Time Out for Women in Logan. So I got to go. Well, Ben decided he and Chris shouldn't get left out. So we got him and Chris tickets from the internet and made a day of it.
Ben, Chris, and I had our BYU gear from last years games, but Peyton, being new to the Cougar fan club, didn't have anything. So first thing into the staduim, we hit the Cougar Den and got her a cheerleading outfit. The game was a crappy one. We got our bums handed to us by a team that wasn't even a threat, but I always enjoy the games. They're just easier to enjoy when we win. Peyton looked adorable and Chris got cotton candy and snow cones, so all in all, it was a good day!

The love of my life!
My husband is my best friend and today is his birthday! So you get to hear about my love! He was raised in Murtaugh, Idaho. Graduated high school in 03. Went on a mission to Atlanta, Georgia a few months after graduation. Returned home and started working for his dad breeding dairy cows. He and I met in April 06. (pic taken 6.26.06)
We were married December 15, 2006. He has been my world ever since. He loves my son and our daughter unconditionally.
He'll even play with Chris, even though he doesn't care for water. Chris didn't want to play slip-n-slide alone so Ben kept him company.
I this one, he may look like Shrek, but he'll always be my Prince Charming. I love him for the dad he is to our kids, for the husband he is to me, and the provider he is for our family. He loves his work and is a loyal friend. He gets along with everyone and stands up for himself and what he knows is right.

Last couple weeks random events!
My Birthday was August 19th. This was my beautiful gift from my husband! He and Chris went to town to get steaks for dinner and came home to suprise me with these and a candy bouquet. He cooked me dinner and let me have half of the bed that night at bed. 8-19-09 Peyton had to get her 4 month shots on August 3. She was a trooper. The part she disliked the most was that the nurse had to hold down her legs to put the shots in. She teared up for a few seconds, they let go of her legs, I picked her up, and she was fine. 8-3-09
Just cute snap shot of my little girl. She is getting so big, I can hardly believe it. My beautiful Princess Pey Pey(thanks Tara)! 8-2-09
Peyton's first Oreo! She loved it. She sucked and chewed and licked that Oreo and wasn't done when I took it from her. 8-11-09
Ben took a few days off so we could get away to spend some time with family. Ben loves the Burley County fair. And it happened to fall on the same weekend as Kenny and Kristie's (Ben's brother and his wife) little girl, Kierstley's, birthday. So we all went to a party at the Shoshone fall's picnic area. It wasn't flowing as heavily as it was this June, which was as heavy as it has been in years, but it still was amazing. So this is Ben, Peyton, Chris, Jocelynn. 8-13-09

Christopher's first day of 1st grade. My little boy isn't so little anymore. I'm still trying to grasp how big he's getting. He's such a handsom little boy. I love him so much.
I am truely blessed. I've been given the blessing of being able to keep Chris for school. He will get to spend the summers with his dad, but he'll get to spend school here in Delta with me and Ben. He is so good with Peyton. He gets so excited to be able to play with her and being her big brother. I love my husband and my family. I am so blessed.

My little girl is getting too big to fast. I can hardly believe she's 4 months already. She has recently begun rolling over and that has been hard for me to grasp it. I now have to keep a much closer look out for her. She loves rolling from her back to her stomach, but she doesn't really like being on her stomach so once she gets there, she starts whining. She can roll back on to her back, but she'd rather whine and have you do it for her. Her 4 months doctor appointment was Monday and she's 15 lbs 8 oz and 25 inches long. The 88th and 80th percentile. She's definatly heathy and no mother can complain about that. She has been such a joy in our family!

Mid-summer b-b-q!
Summer is so fun! We are enjoying all that comes with it. Playing in the pool in the yard, swimming at the local swim pool, snow cones, and barbequeing! Ben and I finally got our barbeque back from my parents house. It's been a while since we've been anywhere we could have it. Now that we are, we're enjoying it. Here is Peyton and I watching Ben cook steaks on the grill Monday(7.20.09) night.
He did such a good job. It was the best steak I can remember having. Cooked in our own back yard. And he said he didn't know how to grill. Next step, getting grilling utensils, regular forks lead to your hands being aweful close to the flames.

Busy Summer!
It's been a crazy summer so far. We've been busy. And that busyness has made me slack alot in my blog posts. So this post will be a bunch of random pictures of the events of our summer so far. Enjoy!
June 20th: We met Ben's family at Lagoon. Ben and I's family are there twice every other weekend so we got us all season passes and that's also half way between us and the rest of his family. So we got together. This is Puff, the magic dragon. It was the only ride Peyton rode on all day, but she was quiet through the whole thing. She couldn't say whether she liked it or not, but I'll take her silence as a yes! My sister-in-law, Kristie, and her 10 month old, Keirstley, are in the 3rd seat back and Jaycee, Peyton and I are right behind her.
If the picture had clicked 2 seconds sooner, I would have captured the three of them sticking their tounges out, but two out of three isn't bad. It was raining pretty good that day that day at Lagoon so this was what we did to pass the time during one of the bigger down pours, spent time in the arcade!

June 23rd: Well, now that we're living in Delta, it gets pretty hot in the summer. So we got a little wading pool so cool off. Well, when it is 100 degree's outside and the pool sits in it all day, the water gets pretty warm so around 6 pm, we went out to enjoy! Peyton loved it so we actually bought water diapers after this. Wow! how those regular diapers puff up in water.
June 24th: As a previous post mentioned, Chris is doing t-ball this summer. He is getting pretty good too. He's hit it all the way to the grass a few times. This is him slidding into home plate(even though there are no outs in t-ball). He has had a blast and tomorrow(7.15.09) is his last game. It's good practice for when he gets older and plays.
June 25th: This was a Thrusday that I needed to get Chris to his dad's for the weekend and I'd had Jaycee and she needed to get back to her house for a while. So we made plans and met Tara in South Jordan and went to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. As you can tell from the picture, Peyton had been good long enough and wanted to eat so we didn't get a picture in front of the temple, but we did get this one. We also got to see Aaron and Tamera while we were there. It was beautiful! All should go if they get a chance.
July 4th: I took Chris to his dad for the 4th of July weekend, stayed at my mom's house, and picked him back up to come home when he was done. While I was there, I got to help my mom put a float in the parade for my dad's bike shop. Peyton didn't ride in the back for the parade, but she got to enjoy it before we started. Jaycee and Kimber had fun throwing candy and I had a blast squirting the crowd with a squirt gun.
July 4th: Daddy picked out Peyton's outfit 3 or 4 months before she was even born. He asked how old she'd be on the 4th so he could get her the right size. I felt bad that he didn't get to see her in, for she was very cute, but he had to work. She is getting to that fun age where she'll smile all over at you. She's almost to a giggle, but not quite.
July 5th: Peyton's just about old enough to have cereal so we thought we'd try it out. She doesn't mind it. She's still figuring out how to use her tounge to eat the food and not just push it out, but that'll come. And of course, she's great at getting itches on her face while it's covered in food and smears it from hear to toe. But she loves a bath too so she doesn't mind.
July 10th: My sister, Tara, was gracious enough to loan me her bike trailer. Peyton likes it so far. Just before I took this picture, I was pulling Chris and Peyton, and Chris had her sitting in his lap and got a bloody nose. It dripped down him and down Peyton. So we cleaned up, got the bloody nose stopped and went for another ride. Jaycee says it's alot harder to ride with two people back there.
It has been a fun summer so far. Chris is in swim lessons now and after two lessons, says he knows how to swim! He's having so much fun playing outside and inside and enjoying the heat. And his little sister, who loves to have her brother talk to her. She is growing like crazy and amazes me every day with how big she's getting! She is grabbing stuff, smile like crazy, loving life, and making life worth living. Ben is still working like crazy. He started at a little feed lot just today. It only adds 10 minutes onto his work day, but works work! Jaycee is going back to her mom this next weekend and I'm going to have to get used to life without her. She has been so much help. As for me, I'm loving being a mom! Spending a lot of the hot summer days inside with ac, but enjoying being able to spend time with my family, where ever we are! I love this season and the joy my family plays in my life. I am truely blessed!
